Blufab is the off-site construction unit of Grupo Casais, dedicated to providing efficient solutions that minimise resource consumption and address the challenges of the construction industry, including the scarcity of raw materials and labour.
In today’s construction industry, innovation is no longer an option, but a fundamental requirement for business growth. Our commitment to building resilient infrastructure, promoting sustainable industrialization, and driving innovation aligns with the basic principles that guide Grupo Casais in its market operations.
Industrialization is the cornerstone for increasing efficiency during the transformation of the construction industry. With an approach based on “Design for Change”, we create adaptable, sustainable, and resilient buildings that meet evolving needs while minimizing environmental impact. Through the development of integrated products and systems – such as our modular walls - we transform traditional construction into an assembly process that allows for versatile configurations to achieve the desired results.
Blufab industrializes construction — delivering smarter, faster, and more sustainable building. Powered by Grupo Casais. Driven by purpose. Built for the future.
Blufab is an off-site construction unit within Grupo Casais (Portugal and present in 17 markets including France), created to respond to the evolving demands of the construction industry — particularly the need for greater efficiency, reduced labor dependency, and more sustainable solutions. By industrializing key parts of the construction value chain, Blufab delivers high-quality, modular components that improve productivity, reduce environmental impact, and support the shift toward faster, greener, and more resilient building methods.
At Blufab we have two business segments:
1) Licensee for CREE System - a hybrid structural system for buildings combining concrete and timber (glulam)
CREE Buildings is an international construction collective for regenerative building solutions. Founded in 2010 CREE Buildings is dedicated to sustainable and healthy buildings using prefabricated timber-based components and has developed the CREE System: proven, reproducible, and constantly evolving solutions for multi-story timber-hybrid buildings. By licensing this unique system, their global network of partners builds smartly and sustainably by sharing knowledge and collaborating through the CREE Platform. From Europe to Asia to North America, together, they are revolutionizing the construction industry.

2) Prefabricated Wet Rooms – panelized (2D) and pod (3D) solutions for bathrooms and kitchens and MEP (Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing) Racks
Our product portfolio includes prefabricated wet-room units, MEP rack systems, and modular panels, all produced off-site and optimized for streamlined on-site integration. These solutions support faster installation, improve quality, and reduce waste, while directly responding to some of the construction industry’s most pressing challenges: labor shortages, operational inefficiencies, and environmental impact.
Currently, more than 4.000 units are installed within various segments such as Residential, Hospitality, Student Accommodation and Senior Residences.
Estimated 40-50% time reduction, 30-40% reduction in materials consumption and 20-30% reduction in transportation when compared to traditional fully in situ construction.
